1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website.
They can serve to keep the website functioning, to analyse usage or to improve navigation. On this website only the first purpose applies.
2. Which cookies this website sets
Without your consent, two cookies are set, both technically necessary:

The legal basis for both is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG; no consent is required for them.

Google may additionally set cookies on its own domains if you are signed in to a Google service during your visit. We have no influence over this.
3. Third-party providers used
For operation and delivery:
Vercel Inc. (hosting and delivery)
Supabase, Inc. (database, West EU / Paris region)
Both process data as processors and set no cookies on this website. Fonts and program code are served from our own server.
For measurement and advertising:
Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use Google Tag Manager (management of the other tags), Google Analytics 4 (use of the website) and Google Ads (measuring which ads lead to enquiries).
Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States in the process. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission's standard contractual clauses apply in addition. Google Analytics 4 truncates IP addresses before they are stored.
Even without consent, Google Tag Manager is loaded when the page is opened. Your IP address and the address of the page are transmitted to Google in doing so. As long as no consent has been given, the tags run in "Consent Mode v2" with storage denied: no cookies, no identifiers, no profiling.
Payment processing. As soon as an ordering process with online payment is used, Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. will be added. Stripe may set its own cookies in the process. This section will be extended once the feature is available.
Embedded video. The home page contains a video from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited). Initially, only a still image is visible, and that image is served from our own server — no connection to Google is made before you click. Only when you press play is the player loaded via youtube-nocookie.com; cookies may be set and data transmitted to Google at that point. The legal basis is your action, i.e. consent under § 25 (1) TDDDG.
Note on status. This policy describes the actual state of the website at the time of the last change. If further embedded content or services are added, it must be extended before they are activated.
4. Consent and management
A banner appears on your first visit. Until you decide there, analytics, marketing and personalisation are denied. Declining and accepting stand side by side as equals; there is no default in our favour.
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time — via the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal takes effect from the moment of the change and does not retroactively render the processing carried out until then unlawful.
Independently of this, you can manage or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. If nv_consent is deleted, the banner will ask again. If the language cookie is deleted, the website falls back to the language of the address requested.
5. Storage period
NEXT_LOCALE applies to the session only and is deleted when the browser is closed. nv_consent remains for six months. The storage periods of the Google cookies are listed in the table in section 2; the browser deletes them once they expire.
